Maintain a healthy body weight. The Mayo Clinic says being too heavy or too thin can affect sperm production, both in quantity and in the health and quality of the sperm. With regular exercise, a little calorie-counting and a healthy diet, you can achieve a healthy body weight and increase your chances of producing plenty of healthy sperm.
Take antioxidant supplements, which can benefit your overall health, including reproductive health. Antioxidants can increase your chances of producing good, quality sperm, the Mayo Clinic says, so add lots of fruits and vegetables to your diet to get your fill.
Add a daily multivitamin to your routine. Men need the vitamins and minerals folic acid, selenium and zinc to produce lots of sperm that are healthy and good swimmers, the Mayo Clinic says. Taking a multivitamin daily can provide those needed nutrients.
