What Can Boost Your Fertility After Stopping the Birth Control Pill?

The hormones in birth control pills will leave your body within a few days, but now it is up to your body to start back up its natural processes. It might take a few months before you start ovulating again. If you have been on birth control for many years it might also take your body some time before it starts producing cervical fluid again, which is needed to keep sperm mobile and alive.
Relax
The first couple of months trying to conceive after birth control pills might be disappointing. Don't let yourself get stressed. Tense emotions will send the wrong message to your body. It is saying: "Now isn't a good time to have a baby, so let's hold off for another month." If you find yourself worrying too much, learn some relaxation techniques or join a local yoga class. Some cities even have special fertility yoga.
Balance Your Diet
Birth control pills can deplete your body of certain vitamins, such as vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid, vitamin C, magnesium and zinc. If you aren't healthy enough for a baby your body isn't going to let you have one.
Take Vitamin B6 Daily
Vitamin B6 can be found in meats, whole grains, vegetables and nuts. You can also take B6 as a vitamin supplement. Even if you are healthy enough to ovulate, your body will still have trouble implanting a newly fertilized egg if you are lacking B6.
