To bypass this expensive medically assisted gender selection, some doctors have done years of research to study how a couples would either conceive a boy, or conceive a girl. Studying sperm, ovulation, timing of intercourse, sexual positions and pH levels in the body, scientists like Dr Landrum B Shettles devised the natural gender selection methods that are now widely available today.
These methods have been further researched by new pioneers and scientists, and are now said to achieve some very staggering results.
Without using natural gender selection, you have a 50% chance of conceiving a girl, and a 50% chance of conceiving a boy. If you could up the odds by just 5 per cent, or even 10 percent would that be worth investigating further? Some natural gender selection methods are said to be up to 94% successful!
For couples that must have a specific gender for medical or genetic reasons, well maybe natural gender selection isn't for you. It cannot be guaranteed 100%, but then again neither can medically assisted sex selection.
For couples who wish to chose the sex of their baby for family balancing reasons, or just because they either want a girl first, or a boy first... or whatever your reason, well maybe it might be worth a try.
Natural gender selection involves following a set of instructions. Learning to track your menstrual cycle and ovulation. Discovering how sperm actually determines the gender of your baby. Learning what foods could help to alter your body's level to the desired level for the gender of choice. And knowing exactly when to have sex, and which position to use to favor either a girl or a boy.
