How to Tell If You Are Pregnant 15 Signs

MISSED PERIOD: This is usually the first sign of pregnancy. If you are sexually active and you missed your period, it's time to take a home pregnancy test. Sometimes things like hormones or stress could result in a missed or irregular period, so check out the rest of the steps and see how many apply to you.
POSITIVE HOME PREGNANCY TEST: Another great indicator, although not always accurate. If you're home pregnancy test is reading positive, you should call your OB/GYN. Only an OB/GYN can tell you with 100% certainty that you are pregnant.
DARK AREOLAS & BREAST PAIN: When you are pregnant your breasts automatically starts to produce milk. As a result your breasts will become tender and swollen and your areolas will become darkened and increase in diameter. Unfortunately, it's normal to feel like a mack truck just ran into your breasts.

MORNING SICKNESS & DIZZINESS: Unfortunately you may experience morning sickness throughout the whole day, it just starts in the morning when you have no nutrients or sugar in your body. Lack of sugar can cause dizziness. Yes, there may be puking, or even just urges to.
FREQUENT URINATION & SPOTTING: Don't confuse spotting with your regular period. They are two different things. Not all woman spot. Spotting happens after the egg has been fertilized and is trying to attach itself to the wall of your uterus. Your uterus sits on top of your bladder, so as the baby grows in your belly it's putting alot of pressure on your bladder, causing you to have to go frequently. Be prepared to wake up numerous times in the middle of the night to urinate.:):)
FOOD CRAVINGS: Alot of women experience the need for salt and sugar the week before and the week of their period so this can be inaccurate. But if you have a sudden desire for salt, sugar, or pickles with ice cream this could be an indicator.
MOOD SWINGS: Ah yes moodswings. Women, we have got to love our hormones. During pregnancy your hormones are surging. One minute you will feel fine, the next you are screaming at someone because the towels aren't folded correctly. Men, steer clear!
WEIGHT GAIN & BLOATING: You are naturally going to gain weight, so don't be alarmed. As the baby grows and you double meals, it's just bound to happen. Early signs could just be a simple bump or "pouch" that you are not used to seeing.
HEADACHES: If you are not used to headaches, this could be a painful but great indicator. Lack of sleep, hormones, stress, poor sleep positions, and dehydration could all be playing a role in these headaches.
HEARTBURN: Heartburn really has nothing to do with your heart. Really it's just your stomach acid going back up into your esophagus. This usually happens as a result of hormones during pregnancy.
HIGH BASAL BODY TEMPERATURE (BBT): Not all women keep track of their BBT. However, if you are keeping track, note how long your BBT stays high. A good indicator of pregnancy would be 18 straight days or more.
FATIGUE: Just having to carry another living being in your own body is enough to wear you out. This along with hormones will cause constant tiredness. You'll find yourself wanting to sleep at every chance you get.
CONSTIPATION: Do I have to say it again? HORMONES! They affect every single part of your body when you become pregnant, even your digestive tract. Try drinking prune juice to regulate bowel movements.
LOWER BACK PAIN: This is an indicator further along in pregnancy. As the baby grows, the weight gets put on your spine .... especially the lower part of your spine. You will find that putting alot of pressure on this area feels wonderful!
CRAMPS: You will feel cramps early on in pregnancy and all the way through the pregnancy. As the egg implants itself in your uterus, the uterus growing and the uterus contracting. Cramps could also be a simple sign to let you know that your period is on it's way, so call your OB/GYN to be certain it's pregnancy.
