Parents feel they should have the right to choose if they so wish but religious and ethical groups are against the idea and try to quash any suggestions that it can be achieved. Much of the research into the ethics of such processes rule in favour of the maximisation of parental happiness and therefore argues that this is the most important factor in allowing parents to have the choice. This relates to the natural methods of gender selection rather than much deeper issues relating to more invasive and medical procedures relating to this process.
However, a new book has been published to help parents to have some bearing on the sex of their child in order to generate their desired family composition without the need for expensive or ethically questionable procedures. This is based upon natural selection methods but uses techniques based upon all research methods to allow for 94% accurate results.
