Folk Wisdom: How to Conceive a Boy

Diet
According to folklore, a woman should consume certain foods to conceive a boy. Her diet should mainly consist of meat, fish and white flour products while avoiding dairy products and whole-grain foods.
A recent British study found that there might be some truth to the old folklore that eating certain foods can affect your chances of having a boy. According to researches from the University of Exeter and Oxford, women who ate more calories were more likely to conceive a boy. Also, those who ate a higher amount and larger range of nutrients such as potassium and vitamins C, E and B12 were more likely to conceive a boy. Additionally, the study found that women who ate breakfast cereals regularly were more likely to have boys.
How and When to Have Sex
Many people believe that certain positions in which you have sex will help you conceive a boy. Rear entry or sex while standing up are thought to be good positions if you want to conceive a boy because penetration is deep and close to the cervix. Because male sperm are thought to swim faster than female sperm, by having sex this way the male sperm have a better chance of reaching the egg first. Also, according to folklore, if the man has an orgasm before the female, a boy will be conceived.

You should have sex on odd days of the month at night and when there is quarter moon if you want to conceive a boy. Also, according to folklore, the woman's head should point to the north.
The man's role
If you want to conceive a boy, a man's testicles should be warm before he has sex with his partner. Additionally, a man should wear brief underwear instead of boxers because doing so will keep his testicles warmer. Also, before having sex, a man should consume a caffeinated beverage. The caffeine will cause the male sperm to be more active and swim faster to the egg.
