Signs You Could Be Pregnant

Breasts
One of the earliest signs of pregnancy is swollen or tender breasts. This can occur as soon as two weeks after conception and is caused by hormonal changes.
Gastrointestinal Changes
Hormonal fluctuations, especially in the first trimester, can cause both food cravings and aversions. An increase in estrogen causes food to digest slower and can lead to nausea and vomiting. Although this is commonly known as "morning sickness," it can occur at any part of the day. Women may also experience constipation.
Fatigue and Dizziness
An increase in progesterone levels, a hormone required to maintain pregnancy, can cause sleepiness. Low blood pressure and blood sugar can also cause you to feel more rundown and dizzy.

Basal Body Temperature
During ovulation, your resting, or basal, body temperature rises slightly and stays elevated until your next period. If it doesn't return to the normal temperature by the time you are expecting your period, there is a chance you are pregnant. You can chart your temperature by taking it every morning before getting out of bed and recording it on a graph.
Spotting and Cramping
Some women experience light bleeding, or spotting, during implantation, the time when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall. This process may also cause mild cramping.
