How to Tell If You Are Ovulating

Trying to get pregnant? Figuring out when you ovulate is a critical part of getting pregnant. Here is how determine when you are ovulating so that you can easily get pregnant.
Ovulation occurs on average, once a month, when a mature egg is released from the ovary, pushed down the fallopian tube, and is available to be fertilized. If no conception occurs, the uterine lining as well as blood will be shed. The shedding of an unfertilized egg and the uterine wall is the time of menstruation.

There are many different ways of determining when you are ovulating. On average a woman's cycle is anywhere between 28-32 days but can be much longer. The easiest way to determine when you are ovulating is first, to determine the length of your monthly cycle. A woman's monthly cycle begins on the first day she sees red blood. After the length of the monthly cycle is determining, get an ovulation calendar, either online or at a bookstore and an ovulation predictor kit.
If you get a free ovulation calendars online, all you will need to do is put in the first day of your period, and the length of your cycle. The program will generate your most fertile days before during and after ovulation. Then pick up a package of ovulation predictor kits at your local convenient store. Between 3-5 days after the completion of your period, (the instructions will tell you according to the length of your cycle), begin testing urine daily. Each morning when you get up, take a test. 24-48 hours before you ovulate, the kit will indicate a LH (luteinizing hormone ) surge which is what causes the egg to burst thorough the ovary wall and make its way down the fallopian tube for fertilization within 24-36 hours. In other words, when the test shows positive for LH, you will be ovulating within 24-36 hours.
