Continue taking prenatal vitamins after your miscarriage and when you are trying to conceive. Eat a well balanced diet with lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and lean protein. Limit alcohol and caffeine and eliminate alcohol completely if you are trying to conceive.
Once your doctor says it's okay, resume or begin an exercise routine so you are in the best possible shape for your next pregnancy. Aim for 30 minutes of cardio five days a week and strength-training exercises at least twice a week. If you are stressed out, consider yoga or meditation.
If you would like to switch doctors for your next pregnancy, now is the time to look. Ask friends, co-workers, and neighbors for OB/GYN recommendations and search the Internet for doctor reviews. Once you have a few recommendations, set up appointments to meet with the doctors and decide who you feel most comfortable with.
Take care of any health issues. Get any necessary tests, treatments, and immunizations that your doctor recommends. Also, take care of any dental problems, and get your teeth cleaned if needed. Research has shown that periodontal disease can cause pregnancy complications.
