Schedule an appointment with your doctor if you have had more than 1 subsequent miscarriage to determine if there is an underlying problem. Typically there is no underlying problem in women who have experienced a miscarriage, but if you have had 2 or more in a row, it is best to make sure there is nothing preventable happening.
Become your healthiest self. Miscarriage and pregnancy can take a toll on the body. Energy levels and vitamin levels can be severely depleted. For this reason, you should eat a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. The balanced diet will also keep your stress in check. Stress is one of the main contributors to fertility and miscarriage.
Wait until you are emotionally ready to be pregnant again. You may not be ready to go through the roller coaster of pregnancy right away. Give it time. When you are emotionally ready, you will know.
Take a prenatal vitamin every day that contains folic acid. If you plan on getting pregnant within a few months of your miscarriage, simply continue to take your prenatal vitamins you were taking before the miscarriage. This will help to replenish depleted vitamins in your body, and help prepare a young embryo when you do get pregnant.
