How to Cope With Being Pregnant and Alone

Develop a good support system. You may not have a significant other with you but you can still get help from those who care. Ask your family and friends for help with your physical, emotional or financial needs.
Talk to other people who are pregnant and alone because they will understand you in a way no one else can. You can share your fears and also get advice from those who are on the same path as you.
Get medical care for yourself and for your unborn baby. You want to make sure you're both healthy so you can cope better with the tasks ahead. If you are uninsured, check with social services. There are programs that will help you with medical care.
Take a childbirth class and bring a good friend with you for support. You can learn all you need about having a baby from the class. You may want your friend in the birth room with you when the time comes.

Contact social services or find a home for unwed mothers if you are alone and unable to cope financially. Some agencies let you live with other pregnant women while also helping you in other ways.
