Making babies can be oh so fun........as they say "practice makes perfect right?!" To begin, I have followed these steps intentionally 4 times with success, and practiced them other times over a period of 26 years! So here it goes.....
To conceive a baby the womans egg has to be fertilized by the mans sperm. Note to self: male sperm travels faster but dies sooner, and female sperm swims slower but lasts longer......confused.....no problem, this is easy.
During a monthly cycle a woman typically ovulates during the middle of the cycle. So you must be "in tune" to your body. Using your basal body temperature is key to the ever so slight change which is a "sign" that you are ovulating.A basal thermometer can be purchased at your local pharmacy. Take your temperature first thing every morning before getting out of bed and chart your temperature. Your temperature will spike when it is "time".
Another known "sign" for ovulation and therefore the BEST time to conceive is when your cervical mucas becomes clear/spinning, you are VERY Fertile at this point. To conceive a boy, abstain from making love until the above signs are noted so that the male sperm can race to the egg. To conceive a girl "go like bunnies" all month until approximately 48 hours prior to ovulation.
By this time, the male sperm will be dieing off and the female sperm will finally make their way to the egg. I followed these steps and kept a journal with a chart of my temperature for a period of 3 months before deciding it was "time", and yes......it worked!!!! Being relaxed and not so worried or clinical is best........all the practice can't hurt either........enjoy, and happy conceiving!
